Give it up for Slim Shady, Jordan Brand and Carhartt. The trio recently put up ten pairs of the very rare Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan 4s on eBay for auction. All the proceeds went to the Michigan State University Literacy Through Songwriting program, and boy were there a lot of proceeds.
The good folks at Sole Collector did the math and Marshall and Co. raised $227,552 on the ten pairs alone via the eBay auctions. A size 9 topped the bunch, going for $30,100 while the average price per pair was $22,755. Amazing stuff.
For fans of kick culture and charity, we’ll see more of the same as Nike will launch the power lacing MAGs on eBay with all benefits going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. For the fans of the Air Jordan 4, it looks like lots of colorways are slated for 2016.
