The New Balance 2002R is next up to receive the #BasementApproved signature stamp as London’s premiere sneaker social club, The Basement, worked alongside New Balance to create two new colorways of the sneaker.
For years U.K. sneakerheads have remained true to New Balance for their refined style and dedication to classic trainer silhouettes. In recent years, New Balance has honored their U.K. fandom by bringing the British streets to life with their premium Made in England series. For this collection, New Balance taps The Basement to create two special colorways of the 2002R. Both pairs feature two-tone color blocking, with the design split at the midsole and the upper dressed in tonal monochromatic overlays. The sneakers come in options of olive green or greyscale, with both pairs consisting of a crisp white New Balance “N” and a black midsole with matching black mudguards.
The Basement x New Balance 2002R is set to release by the end of the year, with an official launch date still up in the air. These sneakers will most likely be a U.K. exclusive, with a price tag estimated at $150 or more. You can expect to purchase them overseas from New Balance and at select retailers.
