Unjustly, the Air Jordan 1.5 has received enormous amounts of shade from Jordan Brand purists. That, in of itself, is difficult to comprehend. The true essence of the Air Jordan 1 is intact and one of the most redeeming qualities of the Air Jordan 2 is almost in place. There is also the historical context this shoe carries. What’s not to like?
The fact that Jordan Brand is releasing the fusion shoe in many of the same colorways championed by the Jordan 1 is also endearing. This ringer in black and red features all the same qualities aside from the Jordan 2 tooling at the midsole, which works really well to the non-bias eye.
