Earlier this morning, Kanye West’s YEEZY SEASON 2 collection was not only unveiled at New York Fashion Week in front of a star-studded crowd, it was also simulcast live in 38 cities around the world. After missing out on the similarly shown in-theaters SEASON 1 collection this past February, I made the drive north from Portland, Oregon to check out the experience at a downtown Seattle, Washington theater.
The big screen approach to a live stream gave Ye’s fans a chance to take in the sights and sounds in an immersive theater setting. The format also brought people together in person, stripping away the at-times faceless Twitter chatter and making for some great conversations, anticipation and expectations among those in line leading up to the collection’s viewing.
As you can imagine, Kanye’s biggest supporters were on hand, dressed in a variety of inspired-by looks and recently released adidas Yeezy sneakers. Check out the selected sneakers and style worn by several people in attendance at the Seattle showing of YEEZY SEASON 2 below.
