For the fourth straight year, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors will be facing off against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. And also for the fourth straight year, Curry will wear a new iteration of his signature Under Armour sneaker in the Finals.
In this year’s Finals, Curry will debut two new colorways of his low cut Under Armour Curry 5: the UA Takeover Edition_1 (Black) and UA Takeover Edition_2 (White). Both iterations have a speckled white midsole with a gold highlight at the heel and tongue. This small accent symbolizes Curry’s drive to win his third NBA championship in four years.
Look for Curry to rock one of the Takeover Editions of his Curry 5s in Game 1 of the Finals on Thursday. The rest of us will have to wait until Friday to get a pair as both the Under Armour Curry Takeover Edition_1 and Takeover Edition_2 will be released on June 1 at Under Armour retailers and SC-v5.com for $130.
