Inspired by the surf scene in the 80’s and 90’s comes the STAUD x New Balance XC-72 sneaker pack. This is the duo’s fifth collection and pays homage to STAUD’s California roots.
STAUD presents this pack with two iterations of the New Balance XC-72 that are strikingly different from one another. The first colorway embodies the vintage SoCal surf scene as it incorporates soft blue and sunny yellow, paired with multi-color accents to create a vibrant flair. The mudguard that wraps around the heel counter has a neutral speckled finish, taking influence from the sandy shores of Southern California. Although the remaining colorway is minimal, STAUD takes it to extremes as this tonal white sneaker is astonishingly pale. A tint of depth is added to the upper as the eyestay, heel tab, and signature New Balance “N” are made with eggshell-colored suede. The black laces and STAUD branding on the tongue also help to elevate the sneaker.
