To celebrate the 1984 World’s Fair, adidas has tapped Sneaker Politics for a bold and colorful EQT Prototype dubbed the Sneaker Politics x adidas EQT Prototype “1984 World’s Fair”.

The silhouette, which is additionally part of the Three Stripes’ 30th anniversary “Life Needs Equipment” collection, comes dressed in a light blue, yellow, and white color palette; the same colors seen on the fair’s Seymore D. Fair pelican mascot. For those who don’t know, Seymore D. Fair made his debut at the World’s Fair 1984 debut sporting a blue tuxedo, top hat, and gloves. Seymore’s tuxedo inspires the sneaker’s upper, while the yellow of his bill highlights the outsole, tongue underlay, and branding throughout.

To make the sneaker extra special, a portion of the proceeds from every sneaker sold will go towards Seymore’s Foundation in Louisiana. The non-profit organization develops drug education and prevention solutions for children in kindergarten up to sixth grade.

The Sneaker Politics x adidas EQT Prototype “1984 World’s Fair” is currently available to purchase via all Sneaker Politics locations and SneakerPolitics.com for $140.
