Over the years, the Japanese retailer atmos has shared its love of animals in the form of sneaker collabs. Stray cats from the sprawling metros of Tokyo and Melbourne are the inspiration behind the project from atmos, Sneaker Freaker Mag, and ASICS.
The ASICS GEL-LYTE III OG “Alley Cats” features phosphorescent materials and a purple and neon color scheme mimicking the dark alley-ways in which the cats reside. Additionally, the offering includes red and blue insoles, the colors that represent the logos of Sneaker Freaker Mag and atmos. Each pair will come with a mystery item with each purchase.
The ASICS GEL-LYTE III OG “Alley Cats” debuts on June 25 at atmos, ASICS, and atmos storefronts. In addition to the release, pop-up shops will give buyers a chance to purchase a raffle ticket for the pair along with exclusive merchandise on June 18 and 19.
