After news broke earlier today that Nike, adidas and Under Armour were passing on a deal with Lonzo Ball, much of the blame was immediately pointed towards his father, LaVar Ball. His brash persona in the media has made him difficult to deal with. Not to mention his outlandish comments about being able to beat Michael Jordan in a game of one-on-one in his prime.
Well, Saucony Originals is putting all the nonsense to the side and offering LaVar’s son Lonzo a shoe deal. But there’s a catch: LaVar has to put his ball skills to the test. In a playful, troll worthy tweet, Saucony promised to give Lonzo a basketball shoe if LaVar could beat their VP of Finance in a game of one-on-one.
