After a short winter hiatus, killer collaborator Ronnie Fieg is back to working on his most popoular muse, the ASICS Gel Lyte III. Revealed here in teaser fashion is his next release, the “Leather Backs.” These feature a grey nubuck toe and perforated pigskin toe box, as well as a black leather collar. Presumably, some of the heel-most panels will also be constructed with black leather, given the nickname assigned to these kicks. Finally, glimpses of a bright teal color can be seen peeking out from under the outsole and quarter panel. No release information is available yet, nor is a detailed look, but Mr. Fieg has promised to make 2011 even bigger for the Gel Lyte III than 2010. And you thought your goals for this year were lofty.
