Tuesday made it one year since the Boston Marathon Bombing tragically took place, and no one has forgotten, especially Rajon Rondo. Boston’s lead guard was ready for the moment with a special makeup of his ANTA Rondo 1 that honored the victims. Commemorating everyone involved in the event, from those directly effected to the Boston PD, Fire Depetment, EMS and civilians who contributed in the aftermath, Rondo’s special sneakers fully represent “BOSTON STRONG”. The PE features the initials of every victim and the number “41513” on a marathon card on the tongue, representing the April 15th date of the occurrence. Although Rajon was out with a shin injury, the Celtic’s leader dressed and wore the representing shoes on the bench. Just as Andre Drummond honored the Sandy Hook victims on his Air Jordan 10s, Rondo once again effectively used sneakers as a useful tool to honor those who shall never be forgotten.

Rajon Rondo will donate the one of one Boston Marathon Bombing tribute sneakers to the One Fund, an organization which benefits the victims of the bombings.
