Hip-Hop legend Raekwon is teaming up with Diadora and Foot Locker and launching “Community Linx” a series of product capsules that are linked to local cities and communities. The first launch of the program features two colorways of the Diadora N9002, one taking inspiration from New York City and the other from the universe.
Blue and orange suede and mesh make up the NYC-inspired colorway, taking the colors of the New York Knicks as the color palette of the sneaker. Raekwon’s iconic type font logo is seen printed on the right heel in orange, with Diadora branding seen on the left heel respectively. The universe-inspired colorway features a black suede and mesh with reflective silver hits throughout. The Diadora logo on the quarter panels features a galaxy-like print with Rae’s logo on the right heel and the Diadora logo on the left.
Alongside the drop of the collaborative sneaker, Raekwon, Diadora, and Foot Locker selected 16 New York City on the rise musicians for an invite-only beat-making course for four weeks hosted by DJ Scram Jones.
