Brazil’s very own Neymar Jr. teams up with PUMA to create his first lifestyle collection. In honor of his story, the collection is a reflection of his life’s journey from Sao Vicente to Paris.
From the get-go, Neymar worked alongside PUMA to create the full collection. From footwear to hoodies, tees, a backpack, and more — the collection has a wide range of apparel to choose from. Neymar described working with PUMA saying, “They really listened to me and understood what story I want to tell, since this is inspired by my past and who I am as a person, not as a football player. We exchanged ideas about design and the details we integrated into the collection. I was well involved, and they really understood what I wanted to share.”
The footwear portion of the collection features Leadcat Slides and PUMA’s newest Wild Rider sneaker. Both the sneakers and the slides come in corresponding black-and-white pairs. The PUMA Wild Riders have a classic trainer makeup with a mesh upper and an ultra cushy midsole for versatile wearability. The Leadcat Slides come in an all-white option or a black pattern version. All four footwear options feature a Neymar Jr. signature logo.
The graphics used throughout the collection were inspired by Neymar’s hometown in Sao Vicente, Brazil. The word “Blessed” serves as a centerpiece for the collection and is a motif by Neymar. The designs even include one of his favorite life mantras, “It’s not always all about being the best or the greatest but instead, to inspire future generations.”
The PUMA x Neymar Jr. Collection will be released on September 30, 2021. You can purchase the collection from PUMA.com and select retailers, including the PUMA NYC Flagship store.
