| This past season Jordan Brand was a major sponsor of Puerto Rico’s pro basketball league and this summer Jordan Brand will be outfitting the Men’s basketball Puerto Rico National Team for the Beijing Games. Jordan Brands assembled a special release to commemorate the first National team outfitted by JB.
A limited Puerto Rico Air Jordan 1 Low PHAT was released today to only three stores in the US: Shoe Gallery in Miami, House of Hoops in NYC, and Goliath in Spanish Harlem. It is said that only 24 pairs were released per door making the total number floating around at just 72 pairs. This was also the first release of the Air Jordan 1 Low PHAT. The “PHAT” Jordan 1 has more padding around the collar and tongue of the shoe much like an SB Dunk. In addition to the sneakers, Jordan Brand produced hats, T-shirts, and practice jersey to hook with the kicks. Much thanks to Nice Kicks reader Verb04 for sending us in his photos.
