Nike Air Trainer 1

The choice sneaker of one John McEnroe, the Tinker Hatfield-design Air Trainer 1 is a marvel to this day. Originally a new genre of shoe designed to suit the need of those tired of carrying one pair of shoes to the gym for running and another for playing basketball, this shoe was great for most any activity and was the catalyst for an important era at the Swoosh. 2009 saw a very limited number of OG colorway retros release, but of these three new Europe-only drops, two have similar styling. That’s not to say the blue-highlighted pair is any less attractive, of course. Like the Air Trainer IIIs on the page before though, you’ll have hit up a foreign retailer like Schuh-You to get yourself a pair.
