There’s only one time of the year better than the start of the NBA season.

That’d be the start of the NBA Playoffs.

With the postseason getting underway this weekend with four games on deck each day, the storylines are aplenty:

Can LeBron bring a ring to Cleveland? Can Stephen Curry and James Harden continue their MVP-level play as the stakes are raised? Will the Bulls get healthy and put together a memorable run?

In our world, just as important as the on-court narratives are the on-court sneakers, as the NBA Playoffs have now become a grand stage for footwear debuts over the last decade.

Both KD and Kobe are out, but King James is slated to wear his $275 LeBron 12 Elite, as he looks to make a 5th consecutive Finals appearance.

Newly crowned signature athlete Kyrie Irving will also be playing in his very first postseason, in his very first shoe.

Once again, Jordan Brand has postseason editions of the models being worn by both Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, and we can probably be expecting some major PEs should key Team Jordan players make it to the big stage of the Finals.

You can also expect to see adidas Basketball’s strong stable of starting point guards leading the next edition of the Crazy Light Boost series, and signature athletes like Damian Lillard, John Wall and Derrick Rose pulling out playoff pairs. UA frontman Stephen Curry is also expected to break out all kinds of themed variations of his Curry One signature.

As the playoffs progress, we can of course look forward to even more gold accented PEs and future Finals-flavored pairs to hit the hardwood.

With the action kicking off this morning, which player’s footwear are you most looking forward to following throughout the Playoffs?
