The sneaker and automobile industries have always had a strong relationship. From Porsche-inspired colorways to sharing similar design principles, the overlap between the two is underlined through different facets.
Nissan and New Balance teamed up to explicitly showcase how sneakers & cars can work together through a whole new lane. Inspired by the New Balance 327, Nissan & the Boston-based brand created a drivable version of the sneaker with the Nissan Kicks “327 Edition” collab. The suede hits, laces, panels, & overall design language of the New Balance sneaker are found throughout the vehicle.
The Nissan x New Balance 327 vehicle will not be sold anytime in the near future. However, the car will be on display at the Aeon Mall in Tokyo, Japan.
