Penny Hardway?s iconic signature sneaker line is considered classic by many sneaker enthusiasts and basketball fans. Nike has recently capitalized on the appeal of Penny’s line by re-introducing some of his timeless basketball shoes and creating hybrids that are inspired by these shoes. Today, Penny Hardaway himself revealed an upcoming hybrid dubbed the Nike Zoom Rookie LWP.
Penny stated that ?the Rookie is a combination of the shoes that I wore my rookie year. Coming in august. All colors!? Sneakers such as the Nike Air Flight One (side panel construction) and the Nike Air Go LWP (toe box Swoosh) are obvious inspirations for this creation. As Penny stated via Twitter, look for the Nike Zoom Rookie LWP to officially hit retailers in August.
