The Nike Zoom Kobe 5 is getting the Protro treatment. Years after it initially debuted, the Swoosh is bringing back the classic silhouette known for its patent leather finish and Zoom Air unit that blended comfort and top-level performance.
The first colorway to get the Protro treatment was the “Chaos” colorway that was inspired by The Joker from The Dark Knight trilogy. The Nike Zoom Kobe 5″Big Stage Parade” was set to drop in early February. However, the tragic and unexpected death of Kobe Bryant seem to have halted the shoe’s release.
While there’s no indication that these will release given the events that transpired, Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis debuted the pair with Laker hues during All-Star Weekend.
