As an homage to Kobe Bryant, the Nike Zoom Flight 96—a sneaker from the year he was drafted and started his career with the Los Angeles Lakers—gets a special Kobe makeover with this upcoming colorway. Nike Sportswear cooked up this Zoom Flight 96 that seems to have some “what if?” vibes to it. That is, “What if Kobe signed with Nike instead of adidas his rookie season and had a PE version of the Zoom Flight 96?” Surely almost exactly as what the Kobe PE would have looked like if it released in 1996, this version of the classic hoops model features a white base with Lakers purple and gold accents throughout and a speckled midsole. It’s completed with Kobe’s old #8 embroidered at each heel.
