| Nike Sportswear’s timely launch comes just as the whole world comes together to celebrate sports. Nike Sportswear, the new “brand within a brand”, takes 8 iconic items and tells the story of sports, fashion, and culture through various transformations.
One of the 5 shoes selected to be a part of the Nike Sportswear lineup is the Nike Dunk. For the Olympics the Dunks will undergo several transformations that may not have ever been thought of when the shoe first released more than 20 years ago, but is relevant and current to today’s trends. This weekend Nike Sportswear released the “Quilted Patent Octagon” Dunk at limited retailers. The theme of “8” plays through much of the line and ties to the theme of the Olympics kicking off later this week on 08.08.08.
