This winter, Nike Sportswear is going hard with both their Aeroloft Tech Pack and new range of Sneakerboots. The sub-sector of the Swoosh has long displayed the ability to merge fashion and function, and this year’s weather ready gear is perhaps their best collection yet.
The good folks at High Snobiety had a chance to check out said NSW assortments recently, taking the technical pieces to the cold climate of the city streets. Swoosh staples like the Lunar Force 1, Dunk Sky High, Air Max 90, Air Max 95 and Flyknit Chukka Trainer all benefit from upgraded, winter weady attributes. High Snob notes that, “Uppers are water-resistant, tread and soles are more aggressive, collars have been extended and sturdy tabs on the heel tab and tongue mean they’re easier to pull on and off.” These ethos extends to the new outerwear, offering up “a look that is both protective and aggressive against the elements: wind, rain or snow.”
Not too shabby.
