Nike has always been at the forefront of innovation, and nothing captured that more than their recently unveiled structure in Spain. With the annual Sneakerball event being hosted in Palacio Cibeles, Madrid, Spain, Nike enlisted the help of two noted designers: New York-based artist Shane Griffin and Nike’s Colin Cornwell; with the hopes to create a commemorative sneaker statue. Beginning with a 3d file, the two artist carved the entire structure from foam and infused 3 iconic Nike silhouette’s within its facade, such models include the Air Jordan 1, Nike Air Force 1 and the Nike Blazer. Each of these sneakers were assembled to create the effect of it smashing into a basketball, with a concrete-like aesthetic. Be on the look-out to see if this incredible structure will continue to be used in upcoming marketing campaigns.
