While fans in Asia were slated to get their hands on the Nike LeBron 12 today and US sneakerheads were anxiously awaiting October 11th, the release of the 12th signature shoe for global icon LeBron James has been postponed. A release from Nike, Inc. states the following:
“Product quality is a priority for Nike. Due to a small cosmetic issue with some of the LEBRON 12 shoes we have delayed the initial retail launch that was scheduled for China on October 1, and the global launch that was scheduled for October 11. We will communicate an update on the retail date as soon as possible.”
This is good news for hoopers as the delay comes in the form of an aesthetic flaw rather than that of a performance function. Nevertheless, we’ll all have to wait a bit longer to get a run in the Nike LeBron 12. Keep it locked to Nice Kicks for all your release date updates.
