Kobe Bryant has embodied the persona of the Black Mamba for a while now, and now the Laker is releasing a new edition of his latest signature sneaker that exemplifies the reptilian nickname. The Nike Kobe 8 “Pit Viper” features a visceral scale pattern that gives it the actual appearance. According to the brand in Beaverton, this “Pit Viper” model is the “first Kobe 8 release to evolve the snake aesthetic from inspiration to photo-realism.” This realist, therefore, is dressed in purple and green-glow, representing the venomous viper’s nocturnal nature. A black midsole and grey outsole keep the predator tame, along with a black mudguard.
