Embellished by a soothing combination of green and bronze, the Nike KD VI “Bamboo” fully embodies its name. Kevin Durant started his 2013 Basketball Tour today in Shanghai with a bang, rolling out the Chinese-inspired version of his newest signature shoe. This Bamboo model number was inspired by the traditional Chinese values that are generally associated with the resource: balance, harmony, toughness and versatility. The plant is depended on in many parts of Asia in many different ways, and after four years of delicate care, bamboo undergoes a transformation in its fifth year; comparable to Kevin Durant’s growth this past season, which was his fifth year in OKC.

The Bamboo’s colorway represents the plant’s color in its different growth stages, and features a bamboo graphic pattern design. On the outsole is a special KD logo, which comes from the Chinese mark for bamboo, and the shoe’s lining is telling of the “Six Arts” of ancient Chinese culture. Now that you have your history lesson and all of the details regarding the Nike KD VI Bamboo, scroll down to peep the detailed images.
