Kevin Durant‘s signature shoe line with Nike Basketball continues as a first look of the Nike KD 17 have surfaced online.
The Nike KD 17 pays homage to the iconic Nike Air Max Plus from 1998 with the upper mirroring Air Max Plus’ thermoplastic veins. Though still rooted in performance basketball, the Nike KD 17 features a running-like profile to bring the Air Max Plus reference full circle.
Information of the KD 17 began to circulate in Fall 2023 as renderings of the “Game Royal” Nike KD 17 and the “Sunrise” KD 17 colorways leaked, indicating a Summer 2024 release. With the playoffs on the horizon in The Valley of the Sun, KD and Nike look to bring the heat with the latest signature shoe model.
The Nike KD 17 is designed with forefoot Zoom cushioning, a TPU shank atop a Cushlon midsole and translucent rubber outsole.
The KD 17 is speculated to release in the upcoming months for $150 via Nike.com and select retailers.
