Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Incorporates Flyknit Construction

The Nike Hyperdunk has come a long way since its debut in Beijing back in 2008. Now, almost a decade in the making, we take a first look at the performance-driven Nike Hyperdunk 2016.

Bridging the gap between style and performance, Flyknit construction –first seen in basketball by way of the Nike Kobe series — details the Hyperdunk 2016. An extended ankle collar leads down to a Flyknit enabled base where Dynamic Flywire cables are visible – yet also come embedded into the vamp to reduce stretching. Below, to ensure proper responsiveness, Zoom Air cushioning presents an unrivaled amount of energy return working directly underneath the foot.

The Nike Hyperdunk 2016 launches this July in an elite Flyknit version alongside high and low-top versions in engineered mesh. Take a closer look below.
