The Nike Giannis Immortality Gets a Tribal Print Finish

It’s been almost a year since the Nike Giannis Immortality joined the scene, with a handful of colorways releasing in 2021. For its first appearance in 2022, we see the Immortality embellished with tribal print, nodding to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s heritage.

Antetokounmpo was born and raised in Athens, Greece by his parents who immigrated from Nigeria. His multi-cultural background can be seen throughout the sneaker with the African tribal print and the Greek-inspired lettering on the tongue. The upper is made with deep blue mesh and neoprene across the heel counter. The Nike Swoosh has tribal print details, as well as the pull tab on the heel. Other accents include the yellow eyestay and red sockliner. A light blue “A” can be seen on the tongue and matches the two-tone outsole. To complete the design, Giannis’ Nigerian last name, “Adetokunbo” is stitched on the medial side of the sneaker.
