Back in the spring, Mark Parker stated that the Nike Freak 1 would debut during the postseason.
“Building on the energy of the NBA Playoffs, Giannis [Antetokounmpo] will cap off his incredible season with the reveal of his first signature shoe,” said Parker.
While we’ve seen an incredible concept idea for Giannis’ first signature, we didn’t see The Freak debut his new shoe in the postseason as he was quite comfortable in his Kobe AD Mid PE.
Now, the shoe has been officially unveiled.
Made for quick cuts, the Nike Zoom Freak 1 is the first signature shoe for Giannis.
Double-stacked Zoom Air is not only impressive – it’s a steal at $120. Cushioning aside, the model’s midsole Swoosh is a stylistic high with two recent takes paying homage to Giannis’ journey to the States and his home of Athens.
Seen above are the “Coming to America” and “Athens” colorways of the Zoom Freak 1. The “Coming to America” pair is slated to launch on August 2nd.
