Where To Buy The Nike Alphafly 3 "Proto"
nike.comThe Nike AlphaFly 3, the brand’s newest super shoe, is already breaking records. Kenya’s Kelvin Kiptum broke the marathon world record in the shoe during the Chicago Marathon with a time of 2:00:35.
Nike revealed the shoe shortly after the record-breaking performance and announced that it will release in January 2024.

Nike’s Alphafly series began with the Nike Alphafly NEXT% in 2019 as elite marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge ran an unofficial marathon with a time of 1:59:40 in Vienna. The shoe would release in 2020 for $250. The Alphafly 2 released in 2022 and initially retailed for $275. However, recent Alphafly 2 releases are priced at $285.
Both the Alphafly 1 and Alphafly 2 were built with a lightweight Atomknit upper, carbon fiber plate, forefoot Zoom Air pods, and ZoomX cushioning.
The upcoming Alphafly 3 includes dual Nike Air Zoom units, a newly introduced full-length carbon-fiber Flyplate, an all-new last, the latest Atomknit 3.0 upper, heel pods that pad the heel and lower Achilles area and a redesigned lacing system that incorporates eye stays into the shoe’s upper.
The Nike Alphafly 3 “Proto” releases for $280 on January 4, 2024, via Nike.com and select retailers.
