Nike‘s new Torch technology, which focuses on providing flexibility and breathability, has been added to the Nike Air Maxim 1 before, but here we’re getting a look at yet another pair in a slightly different colorway, thanks to Shoeniverse on eBay. These are similar to the ones we saw as a part of the Sportswear 2010 Spring Preview, with slight differences throughout. Purple works as an accent against the black base on the Swoosh, tongue and top eyelets, while bright yellow pops off the dark majority of the upper. The gum outsole is probably one of the first differences you’ll notice, as that color tends to be a favorite of ‘heads on any sneaker. If you recall, the Air Maxim 1 Torch is essentially a classic Air Max 1 plus the Flywire style upper and Torch, meaning these are probably lighter than almost anything else in the Nike lineup. One pair is currently available on eBay if you’re a size 9 but hopefully we’ll see a wider release soon. |
