| Earlier today, we showed you the Shenyang version of the Air Max LeBron VII which stands for LeBron’s ‘Loyalty’ factor. However, if you have been paying attention of the past couple of weeks, you would know that with each city version of this shoe there is also a customized version that is created by a local artist.
With that said, this colorful customized Air Max LeBron VII was designed by 22-year-old Shenyang artist Ray Lei. As for the makeup, Lei used many inspirations to complete this artwork design. For example, Chinese warrior images on the shoe represent LeBron’s bravery and loyalty. The latter charactersitic is also symbolized by the word Irish (LeBron’s high school mascot), the number 23 (LeBron’s jersey number) and the number 330 (his area code). The Shenyang inspirations are also plentiful on this shoe as well. Cloud and water designs pay tribute to the uniforms of the Qing dynasty, while rose drawings stand for Shenyang’s flower. The fog patterns represent the belief of fairy tale troops appearing out of the fog and also symbolize James’s infamous chalk dust before every game. Click here to view detailed photos. |
