Nike continues to expand its “M. Frank Rudy” range dedicated to the aerospace engineer who created Nike’s Air technology, which went on to change the footwear industry. Along with the demure Air Max 90 and this iteration of the Air Max 97, the Swoosh will also be releasing a more colorful makeover of the latter.
This Nike Air Max 97 “M. Frank Rudy” features a “Summit White” base elevated with “University Gold,” “Safety Orange,” and “Royal Blue” wavy overlays. The golden hues follow on to the rubber outsole. Sketchy Swoosh graphics, an “EST.” insignia on the lateral Air bag wall and blueprint insoles further showcase the brand’s proprietary technology. Lastly, a pressure gauge hang tag rounds out the final design cues.
