Nike looks set to add to their “Kiss My Airs” campaign, arriving in the form of an Air Max 95. The campaign, which Collins executed in 2017 to celebrate 30 years of Air Max saw Nike embrace the unapologetic nature of the Air Max 1 OG. Using the catchy slogan, Nike now sees a release featuring the words along the shoes themselves.
A reptilian looking model, it all comes together wonderfully in classic Air Max 95 fashion with slight “Neon” 95 vibes. An upper made from Black mesh with tonal leather overlays, the different tones of Grey in this iteration combine excellently. A toe cap featuring a safari theme pattern matches the top-most lateral wave, following a gradual tonal progression up the sides. The lace loops, heel swoosh, Air Max tongue branding, and midsole all come through in Volt on the pair. Underneath the heel swoosh sits a small tag that reads “Kiss My Airs” for a small hit of defiance. Reflective paneling on the tongue and the heel makes sure that night or day, these kicks stand out brightly. A black outsole combines with rounded laces to wrap up the model.
