Looks like 2023 might be a big year for the Nike Air Foamposite One as news of the “Metallic Red” colorway going to be released next year and now a rare Penny Hardaway PE colorway is releasing for the first time.
First seen on Penny’s feet in a game against the Chicago Bulls in 1997, the sneaker has some modifications compared to the PE and uses a white Foamposite upper with a black mesh tongue and bootie with the lace overlays seen in black leather instead of nubuck. The iconic Penny logo is stitched on the heel with a jeweled take on the tongue and a mini Swoosh appearing on the lateral side of the toe. A carbon fiber shank plate is utilized for rigidity with a full-length Zoom Air setup for impact protection. Lastly, a herringbone outsole with translucent rubber surrounding it finishes off the sneaker.
