Nike Air Max 1 Flywire Red/White – Peter Sim
As an Air Max and running shoe fiend, 2009 will be a glorious year with all the retros dropping, but you can never underestimate the power of the Nike innovators and what they’ll cook up next. Case in point, the Air Max 1 Flywire (I’ve also heard it called the ‘Maxim’), a newly designed shoe that features the classic Air Max 87 and OG colorway with a Flywire upper. I think it’s a particularly fresh shoe that easily makes up for the lackluster AM90 Current that dropped last year – especially with the suede overlay! I’ll have to reserve judgement until I get my hands on a pair, but they look great from the pics.
