Reebok Answer I “All-Star” Red/White
“I distinctly remember watching the ‘98 All-Star Game at a party at my friend Steve Weaver’s house back in fourth grade. One of the adults there made a comment, perhaps joke, about how the player’s jerseys that we were wearing (Iverson for me, Pippen for Steve) weren’t even in the game. Looking back at the East roster it still seems semi-bogus that AI didn’t make the squad. After that rookie season he had though, can’t imagine a lot of opposing coaches were giving him a lot of bench votes. Anyway, this red All-Star version sees a rare sneaker story of an actual scrapped sample that never released. I remember seeing pics of the would-be OGs in odd corners of the internet in years past, so kudos for Reebok bringing back what might be the best colorway of one of my all-time favorite shoes.”
