New Balance, over the last few years, has been extremely mindful and present in the celebration of its past. Keen on modernizing its classic silhouettes, they’ve found resonance in styles like the 574, 247, and the 990v4.

Now, after the towering 997.5 hybrid, New Balance again looks to the 1991-produced model to form the all-new 997H.

Newly streamlined with a sleek and progressive profile, the shoe is brimming with new technology and the stability of an ENCAP midsole. There’s also the new GCEVA construction which joins with synthetic leather, suede and mesh fabrication.

Debuting in four men’s and three women’s colorways, respectively, each features contemporary color blocking yet also explores remnants of past styles that we’ve over time championed as classics.

Expect the New Balance 997H on February 2 for $90 at newbalance.com.
