New Balance returned to the performance basketball market with the signing of Kawhi Leonard a few years ago and a second signature sneaker for The Claw is officially unveiled with the New Balance KAWHI 2, in the “New Money” colorway.
The launch “New Money” colorway takes inspiration from stacks of money and has evolved for its third iteration and strives to inspire the next generation of athletes to build their own legacies as entrepreneurs. The sneaker features a mint green upper, using New Balance’s performance knit Fit Weave on the upper with cream TPU overlays in high wear areas. The rear of the sneaker features a print made to look like cash with a $100 bill-inspired graphic on the tongue. The KAWHI 2 features a full-length FuelCell for cushioning in the wavy midsole with an icy outsole to finish off the sneaker.
