Undoubtedly, 2020 was New Balance’s year. Following lauded collaborations with the likes of Swiss luxury timepiece manufacturer Franck Muller and Korean streetwear stalwart thisisneverthat, New Balance looks back upon itself to celebrate the 35th anniversary of its 1300 model.

Nothing was overlooked regarding the forthcoming New Balance M1300JPV “35th Anniversary”. The model is made entirely with premium and luxurious materials by M.Lab, helmed by master craftsman Hitoshi Mimura and his team. Staying true to its original form, this revamped 1300 features tanned leather, which wraps around everything from the toe to heel in almost a Hender Scheme aesthetic.

Interested readers will be able to purchase the New Balance M1300JPV “35th Anniversary” when it releases on December 19 via New Balance Japan’s online site for a retail price of ¥70,000 JPY (approximately $673 USD). The sneakers will arrive in a special box along with shoe trees.
