Tinker Hatfield: “Let’s go back to the SFB boot for a second. I have like four colors of the SFB boot and one of them heats up. It’s a special, limited edition, all-white pair. It has a button it, and when you push it, the shoe heats up. We did that shoe for the Olympics in Vancouver, and I got a pair that I rock a lot. My brother, Tobie Hatfield, is the inventor of the SFB boot, by the way. He’s more of an engineer/developer. He doesn’t draw like I do, but he has a lot going on up here [points to his head]. He recently did a grey colored pair with a white bottom. They’re the coolest looking shoes. Nobody has those. I’m the only one that has a pair. Whenever I wear those around, people are like, “Come on man! You have to help a brother out.” I just got those, so those wouldn’t be in my everyday rotation, but the heat-up ones are. For the Olympics, we gave a few pairs to the NBC people, and some of those guys actually wore them at the Olympics. We made those just for them, and we made some for a few athletes that we thought would get on the medal stand. That’s it. We never sold them. There’s like 10 pairs.”
