Dylan Raasch, Air Max Creative Director, Leaves Nike After 14 Years

Raasch announced his departure from the Swoosh via Instagram.

A tectonic shift in the industry has occurred as Dylan Raasch will leave Nike after 14 years.

Raasch began his legendary career with the Swoosh in 2009 and is revered for creating the Nike Roshe Run, an affordable lifestyle sneaker that ushered in a new wave for Nike (and ultimately inspired Kanye West to make the adidas Yeezy Boost 350).

Once in a senior role with the Air Max division, Raasch spearheaded futuristic designs with Nike’s staple technology with silhouettes such as the Nike Air Max 270, the Nike Air Max 720, the Nike Air Max Pre-Day, the Nike Air Max 2090, and others.

After 14 years, this was my last week at Nike.

I have made the tough decision to part ways with the brand and open myself to a new chapter.

Eternally grateful to all the individuals and teams I had the pleasure to work with over the years.

Time will tell what creative endeavors are next for Raasch.
