adidas Ultra Boost “Friends & Family” Cream
Upscale Vandal: “I think that the Ultra Boost is responsible for the new face and resurgence of adidas. Obviously the Yeezy and all the other shoes too, but I don’t think that there’s a more commonplace shoe at adidas than the Ultra Boost. I think it took the Flyknit out of competition. The Flyknit kind of became the fashion editor’s top pick because you could dress it up, dress it down, it was luxe and came in all these great colors. Then the Ultra Boost came in with a sleeker design and just took it out of the box. Obviously celebrities wearing them helped, but I think it’s a very easily palatable shoe for people that are trying to dress up runners. The Ultra Boost is just so comfortable. I got blessed with those a while back and I posted them with these Off-White jeans and right now it’s one of the most liked photos on my Instagram.”
“The fact that there’s no collar on the Ultra Boost allows you to wear them with a pant, a sweatpant or a jean. I think that’s one of the key pieces to the versatility of running shoes is that the sock-like fit allows your to cover the top or show the athletic look of them.”
