What Makes Seattle Such a Hotbed for Sneakerheads?
Brandon Gibson: “I think the fact that geographically we’re so close to Oregon and the culture here is so Nike-driven. [That] and with Gary Payton arriving on the scene, having dope kicks was kind of what you did. It’s funny that you can go to a lot of different places and people aren’t really into sneakers. However, here it’s a constant thing and I’m pretty sure with basketball being so big here, everyone is into shoes.”
