It seems that adidas has their sights set on the finer things in life as the German sportswear brand gears up to release the Moncler x adidas “The Art of Exploration” Collection. This collaborative capsule follows Three-Stripes’ second Gucci collection, as well as the Gucci x adidas “Après-Ski” Lace-Up Boot, which is sure to pair nicely with this new Moncler fleet.
Inspired by the “Art of Exploration,” Moncler and adidas use the best of their DNA to create an outerwear collection that feels futuristic and invincible, as Moncler’s tried-and-true puffer coats are known to withstand the coldest days of Winter’s bone-chilling temps. Adidas adds their signature touch with Trefoil embroidery and Three-Stripes finishes.
From what we can tell so far, a number of different puffer coats will be offered, as well as matching track pants. Moncler even inflates the adidas NMD S1 as the upper gets stuffed with premium down fill. Adidas equips the sneaker with thoughtful details as the heel features a zipper stash pocket lined with the Three-Stripes branding on the back.
Also believed to be part of the upcoming collection is a newly-revealed Moncler x adidas sneaker that is built atop a Superstar sole. Much like the NMD S1, this silhouette also boasts a padded upper dressed in either a neon green outfit or a deep blue hue. The pair is rounded off with co-branding as well as an iconic Superstar sole.
In recent years, Moncler has made some personal strides within footwear as the Italian fashion house debuted the Tailgrip GTX, and even invited Salehe Bembury to collaborate on a pair.
