Nike Basketball has been tapping the archives to find inspiration for the Lebron 18 Low colorways. This time Ghanaian designer Mimi Plange was brought in to collaborate for a preppy take on the basketball performance sneaker.
Inspired by the Varsity Jacket, a mainstay in the student-athlete experience and American fashion, the ripstop-like upper is dressed in white with a suede mustard heel counter and crimson accenting on the no-sew overlays. Chenille hits are seen throughout the sneaker, with the Swoosh on the lateral side and patches on the heel and the medial side to resemble a letterman jacket. Full-length React with a large Air Max unit is incorporated for impact protection and cushioning and padding on the tongue and collar for a better fit.
