It was only recently that we reported that Michael Jordan raked in more than $90M in 2013 – much of it from his brand of shoes that is a division of Nike. (Just to put things into perspective, the CEO of Nike, Mark Parker, earned $15M from Nike in salary as the head individual in charge.)
In the “Well, duh” department of the newsroom, we have a quote to confirm that Michael Jordan will NOT be parting ways with Jordan Brand or Nike in 2015 as reported by countless websites across the web. TheShoeGame has received an official comment from Michael Jordan’s Business Manager, Estee Portnoy.
“There is absolutely no truth to this rumor claiming that Michael Jordan is parting ways with the Jordan Brand. Michael has made no such statements. He is – and will remain – fully committed to the Jordan Brand.”
