In grand fashion, over the formidable Syracuse Orangemen, North Carolina Tarheels head coach Roy Williams celebrated his 800th career win last night. To honor the occasion, Jordan Brand gifted the Heels men’s basketball coach with a pair of the Air Jordan 1 Low Pinnacle autographed by former UNC legend, Michael Jordan.
The shoes are stored in a stained oak laser engraved box with 800 scripted across the top. The casing also honors other notable career accomplishments for Williams including eight NCAA Final Fours, two National Championships and induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Williams currently ranks ninth all-time in the NCAA for number of Division I wins.
Jordan Brand has also produced 800 tees for UNC that will be available for purchase with proceeds going to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, a cause Williams stands firmly behind.
