Maison Margiela Reinvents Reebok with the Classic Leather Tabi Décortiqué Low

In June of 2021, Maison Margiela partnered with Reebok to create the Classic Leather Tabi High. This hallowed sneaker made waves for its unconventional structure and style. The Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi Décortiqué Low reinvents the pair by refining the silhouette, but staying true to its architectural form.

The Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi Décortiqué Low takes things down a notch by chopping the silhouette and offering a variation that is more understated than the previous pairs. The term Décortiqué is used to describe the deconstruction of a garment, to essentially strip it back to its core structure. This idea was developed by Maison Margiela and Creative Director, John Galliano, used this process when collaborating with Reebok. As you can see, even though this sneaker has proper function with its sole and laces, the structure offers an unconventional look into the form of the shoe with its hallowed upper. The collection comes complete with four different colors in black, white, red leather, and bianchetto.

The Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi Décortiqué Low is set to release on January 28, 2022. The leather variations are priced at $595, while the bianchetto is $650.
